Langley Creates Looking for an Experienced Mural Artist


Thanks to a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission, the Langley Creates creative district is seeking artist submittals to create a community mural in Langley.

WHO: Artist or artist team experienced in large-scale murals.
WHAT: A large mural on a building façade located at the heart of the Langley Creates creative district.
WHY: The mural is to enhance a re-purposed, older building in an area being revitalized as a hub for community connectivity, inclusivity and creativity, as well as lifelong learning, social non-profits, and creative sector economic development.
WHEN: Responses to the Request for Proposals (RFP) are due February 1, 2021.

Langley Creates is a new state-certified creative district under a program managed by the Washington State Arts Commission. The program was created to help communities in Washington State to grow their creative economies. More information at

Langley Creates will consider both local and regional mural artists, and encourages submittals from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
