Thanks to a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission, the Langley Creates creative district is seeking artist submittals to create a community mural in Langley.
WHO: Artist or artist team experienced in large-scale murals.
WHAT: A large mural on a building façade located at the heart of the Langley Creates creative district.
WHY: The mural is to enhance a re-purposed, older building in an area being revitalized as a hub for community connectivity, inclusivity and creativity, as well as lifelong learning, social non-profits, and creative sector economic development.
WHEN: Responses to the Request for Proposals (RFP) are due February 1, 2021.

Langley Creates is a new state-certified creative district under a program managed by the Washington State Arts Commission. The program was created to help communities in Washington State to grow their creative economies. More information at https://www.arts.wa.gov/creative-districts/
Langley Creates will consider both local and regional mural artists, and encourages submittals from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
