Lauren Flynn joins us with a strong background in Marketing Communications and Social Media strategies. She began her career in large corporations – first within the hospitality industry before moving into the pharmaceutical realm. Personal shifts moved her to bring her education and experience to local businesses and non-profit organizations beginning in 2005.
Her background as a writer and musician allows her to bring creative approaches to Communications and Social Media. As a three-time natural disaster survivor, she is passionate about the relationship between individuals and the larger community.
After a lifetime of moving between Colorado and California, Lauren moved to Whidbey in 2018 to finish an album and decided to stay. She lives on South Whidbey with her dog, Charlie.
Emily McLoughlin has lived on Whidbey Island for six years and grew up in the Los Angeles area with a family of artists and filmmakers. After working in banking for four years, her love for nonprofit work led her to Readiness To Learn and she is thrilled to be RTL's Office Administrator.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Whidbey Homeless Coalition and is also pursuing her Associates Degree at Shoreline Community College.
